Terry Gene Clifford

Terry Gene Clifford, age 75, passed away on December 5, 2013 and is now in heaven with his Lord and Savior. Terry was born in Culver City, CA on March 2, 1938. His parents were Arland B and Edna May Anderson Clifford. Terry grew up in Sacramento CA and he and the family moved to several naval bases where his father was stationed during his naval career. The family moved to Ventura in 1956. Terry was a fireman, first at Port Hueneme Naval base and the worked at the Ventura City Fire Dept. as a fireman and spent time in fire prevention education at schools in Ventura. He retired in 1978. After that his favorite pastime was golf and was a member of the Ojai Seniors group at Soule Park in Ojai. He had been a member of the Ojai Valley Community Church and then a member of Ventura Baptist Church. Terry was preceded in death by his mother Edna Mae Anderson Clifford and father, Arland B Clifford, and Aunt Marge (John) Naves, Aunt Helen (Dick) Moore, and cousin John Naves Jr. Terry has a brother living in Missouri, George (Jeannie) Clifford and has a niece Jenna (Basil) Delashmutt and nephew Kenneth Clifford and grand-niece and nephew. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Sara Lee Britt Clifford, daughters, Mary Jeanne Clifford and Jill Leanne (Jeffrey) Gaertner. There are four grandchildren: Dayne Eigner, Kale Eigner, Joshua Gaertner and Jacob Gaertner all of Ventura. He has one living Aunt Marie (Clifford) Runcorn in Arizona. Three cousins live in Sacramento, Georgette (George) Pieretti, Gary (Carol) Pritchard, and Bob (Rosemary) Naves, and many nieces and nephews. There is a large contingent of other relatives living in and around the Missouri area.

A memorial service is to be held at the Ventura Baptist Church on Raltston Street, Ventura CA on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 1:00pm. Memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Charles Carroll Funeral Home in Ventura, CA
