

Ursula was born Ursula Rehbock in Berlin, Germany. After arriving in the Panama Canal, she met her husband, Laverne Rose, and they eventually settled in Ojai. An Ojai resident for over 60 years, she spent 25 years serving as the snack bar supervisor at Nordhoff High School. After retirement, she generously provided volunteer services at the Ojai Valley Hospital and Help of Ojai.
Ursula is survived by her two daughters and son-in-laws, Jeannie and Barney Hord of Moorpark and Janet and Don Burt of Ojai; three grandchildren, Jack Kintsel, Mona Burt and Corinne Burt and four great-grandchildren Declan, Lauren, Donny and Jaidyn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Laverne Rose, and her grandson, Jerry Kintsel.

A memorial service will be held December 8th, 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Ojai, 930 Grand Avenue, Ojai, CA, where she was a long-time member.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Ojai, Help of Ojai or Salvation Army.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3150 Loma Vista Rd., Ventura.
