VIRGINIA MARIE (VINCOLI) LUTZ, BORN DECEMBER 20, 1921, WENT TO BE WITH THE LORD JULY 2, 2018

Virginia was born in Detroit, Michigan. She grew up in Florida and Georgia. After high school, she and her sister Edith went to New York City where she worked as a nanny for a banker. Being young and unhappy, they caught a bus for Raleigh, North Carolina where Virginia got a waitressing job. There in Raleigh, she met a GI in the Army named Walter Richard Lutz. They were married April of 1942.

Virginia was an Army wife for over 30 years. She and Walter reared two boys, Richard and David. During those 30 years, they lived in North Carolina, New Jersey, Alaska, Texas, Georgia and the State of Washington. Walter served in World War II, The Korean War and The Cold War with Virginia manning the home front. They finally settled in North Carolina in 1959.

In 1974, Virginia and Walter separated and she moved to the Atlanta, Georgia area to be near her three sisters, Rachel, Julia and Edith. These Vincoli girls are just four of Umberto Vincoli’s thirteen children. The Vincoli family is preparing to celebrate 120 years in the United States. Virginia joined her brothers, Vincent, Billy, and Alfred, and her sisters Josephine, Rachel, Julia, Edith, Dorothy and Margaret on July 2nd, 2018.
