Walter Lynn Wingate "The Old Man" died at the age of 59 on September 21, 2015, in his Ojai residence. Lynn was born July 31, 1956, in Ventura CA. His passion for cranes drove his 25 year career in operating and maintaining off shore cranes.
He spent the last 15 years enjoying his family and supervising his crew on the Carpentaria Pier while working for Venoco Inc. Lynn met his best friend and wife whom he married on November 3rd, 1979.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Lou; two sons, Nicholas, and Steven; sister, Cathy; nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at Ted Mayer Funeral Home in Ventura on October 10, 2015, at 10:00am. The Celebration of his life will follow at Soul Park in Ojai.
