

William “Bill” Eugene Davis, 80, of Ventura went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 17, 2012, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Davis was born June 8, 1931, in Michigan to Frank and Violet Davis. He moved to Mojave, California with his parents and sisters at the age of ten. Bill was the oldest of the four children. He attended school in Mojave and following graduation he served in the United States Navy for three years, and then moved to Ventura in 1954. Bill was employed with Pacific Telephone Company retiring after 25 years. He and his wife Levell attended Coastline Bible Church in Ventura. He enjoyed building model railroads playing train dominos, and computer games. Bill and Levell enjoyed many motor home trips together as well as camping and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Levell Wilson Davis of Ventura; daughter and son-in-law, Steve and Pujie Davis of California, Scott and Jeanne of New Orleans, Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Phillip McArthur of Tennessee; step-son Jason Wilson of Oxnard; step-daughter, Ann Wilson of Ventura; fourteen grandchildren; sister, Mary Kennedy of Texas, as well as many friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Bumgard and Delma Jacobson.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 24, 1:00 P.M. at the Coastline Bible Church, 426 Mills, Road, Ventura, with Pastor Rob Perkins officiating.
