Son of the late Patrick Murphy and the late Claire Gauthier of Verdun. Beloved brother to Sean (Claire Turcotte), the late Maureen Deschamps (Bernard), and the late Patrick (Laura Smith). He leaves behind his four nieces—Lynn Murphy, Ann Murphy (Philippe Sirois), Kim Deschamps Gruman (Joshua Gruman), and Lisa Deschamps White (Daniel White)—and their children, who will remember him with affection.
Dan began his career in 1972 at the age of 19 at the law firm of Laing, Weldon, Courtois, Clarkson, Parson, Gonthier & Tétrault. He remained with the firm through its transition to McCarthy Tétrault and retired in 2010 at the age of 56, after 37 years of dedicated service. The job and the people were good—retirement was better.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
