It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard Gorden Barkley, age 75, on January 30th, 2025, in Montreal. Richard will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him.
Richard was born on June 29th, 1949, in Montreal. He was the beloved son of Gladys Glass and Rene Barkley. He lived a life rich in love, laughter, and dedication to his family and friends.
Richard is survived by his four children, Katherine Barkley, Gordon Barkley, Bruce Barkley, and Derrick Barkley, his sister Barbara Barkley, and his girlfriend of 18 years, Amanda Renaud, along with many other relatives and friends who will miss him deeply. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A memorial service to celebrate Richard’s life will be held on February 22nd, 2025, at 512 Rue De l'Eglise, Verdun, Quebec, H4G 2M4.
