I was saddened to here of the passing of Mr. De Boer. He was the Corporate Controller of Alcan Canada Products when I began working as an accounts payable clerk. At first Mr. De Boer posed a very awe-inspiring figure and as I came to know him, I learned that he was also a kind, generous and caring gentleman. I have much to be grateful to Mr. De Boer, for encouraging me to attain the CGA designation and offering support by giving me many opportunities in the Alcan financial group. I will always remember him with admiration and respect. My sympathy to his family, may his memory always be for a blessing. Rest in peace Ben.
