It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cameron Hanna, who left this world on February 15, 2026, at the age of 83 after a battle with cancer. A straight-up hard-working man to his core, Cameron’s strength, stubborn determination, and deep love for his family and land defined his life. He loved fishing, camping, golfing, playing ball and hockey as well as curling. Throughout his life, Cameron filled many roles. He owned and operated a car wash, a mill, a dump truck and was a logger with his great love being a farmer. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Phyllis, his partner of nearly seven decades; his children Tara (Wayne) and Tanis (Murray); his grandchildren Candace (Victor), Carissa (Kevin), Shauna (Noel), Dayton, Joel (Jamie); Clayton (Brittany), and his beloved great grandchildren Jaxxon, Brooklyn, Mason, Rylee, Addison, Halle, Scottie, and Eli. He will be forever missed and always remembered.
A Celebration of life will be held at the Lumby Community Hall on April 11, 2026 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flower those wishing to do so, may make a donation in his memory to the BC Cancer Foundation.
