David Paul Doige

After the passing of his beloved wife, Anita Doige, in 2017, David moved from Ontario to spend his last years with his family in Vernon. He was the cherished father of Derrick and Carl and daughters-in-law Mitsuyo and Panadda and Grandpa to Tom and Miya and her husband Levi, and Great Grandpa to Aaliyah. David will be deeply missed by his sister and brothers and their families.

David is remembered for his kindness, classiness and his determined nature. In the last three years of his life, in spite of suffering from serious lung and heart disease, he clocked over 3000 km on his electric bike as he explored the greater Vernon area, Vancouver, Whistler and Banff. David loved to ball room dance with Anita and the Cambridge Dance Club. He also enjoyed tickling the keys on his baby grand piano, playing card games, hosting countless dinner parties and canoeing on the Grand River or the lakes of Northern New York State.

A celebration of life will be scheduled for the spring of 2022.
