In Dawson’s 21 years, he gave so much of himself and he touched so many people on his journey, some we may not even know. Dawson was the most pure and innocent human being.
Dawson passed peacefully at home in his lovely Christmas bedroom surrounded by his mom Luanna Dawson and his dad Steve Buburuz, his brothers; Stephan Pinette (Christine), Andrew Pinette and Nicholas Buburuz, his little nephew Baker Pinette, his uncle Geoff Turcotte, his cousins Alexi Turcotte and Justin Dilke.
On his pillow lay the mementos he had in his incubator when he came into this world in such an uncertain whirlwind 21 years ago. In some ways it seems like yesterday, and in other ways a lifetime ago.
Dawson’s amazing support staff stayed all day and night to support Dawson and our family. Sarah Holland, Wendy McGhghy, Annette Jeff and Cierra Walthers, bless you for your unwavering commitment. These devoted women gave so much of themselves to ensure Dawson’s happiness, quality of life, and dignity...so they got him ready for bed and said goodnight one last time. Our gratitude is immeasurable, we will grieve together.
Goodbye our beautiful son, brother and friend, you were our teacher, our strength and our light.
You ran through heavens gates into the arms of your family who awaited to greet you there with open arms. You are now free from the shackles that bound your body here on earth and you will hear the angels sing.
Until we meet again...
Well done sweet Dawson, well done.
Our family would like to thank all the wonderful friends and family who brought many meals, coffee, snacks and offered so much support during this very painful time. Your support meant so much to us.
Donations to NOCLS Vernon may be made in lieu of flowers in Dawson’s name.
