1920 - 2013
Edith passed away peacefully in Vernon Jubilee Hospital on November 29th, 2013.
She is survived by one son, John (Elly) of Courtenay, B.C.; daughters: Carol (Dwaine) Jensen of Priddis, AB., Donna (Kerry) Gales of Calgary, AB., Brenda (Wayne) Matson of North Fork, Virginia, USA, Barb (Jake) Jacober of Vernon, and Connie Deane of Vernon; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, Elio (Tina) D’Appolonia of Pittsburg, Pennsyvania, USA; one sister, Elsie Whetsone of Ottawa, Ontario; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Edith was predeceased by her loving husband, Don, in 1980; son, James, in 2003; grandson, Cory, in 1982; and granddaughter, Crystal, in 2000.
The Graveside Service in Pleasant Valley Cemetery will be held on Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Father Dale Normandeau officiating.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Edith may do so to Daybreak Program at The Schubert Center.
