I just stumbled across Edna's obituary.  I am so very sorry to hear about your mom. I know it shouldn't be a shock, but honestly I thought that Edna would go on forever. It is early days but I hope you are all okay - I am thinking of you, and remembering her fondly.

Hello to Edna's family. My condolences to you all. I am Nancy McDonald, Helen McDonalds daughter. My mother visited Edna in Sarnia. She lived on her farm in Lambton Shores on Jericho Road and brought food garden items, rhubarb and asparagus to her. She enjoyed visiting Edna and they would have conversations on the phone as mom was not able to get away with my Dads health declining. She thought very highly of Edna. I could not find Edna's information until now through Darlene Catt. I apologize I did not get to inform Edna of  Helens(mothers)  death Oct. 25, 2014. She followed my Dad very quickly. We miss them dearly as I am sure you will miss Edna. Sending you loads of love and thankfulness for having Edna in my moms life. Jerichostar@yahoo.ca if you would like to get in touch.

Mabel, sorry to read about your Mom's passing.  I visited with her in Sarnia and met her again at Mary Well's funeral.  I talked to you briefly at that time.  My condolences to your family and your siblings.

Please kindly  accept my condolences on Edna's passing. Edna was always a lovely and kind person and I always enjoyed the time I spent with her. I will remember her and Ernie fondly.

My Mother, Bubbles and I extend our sympathies to Tom, Mabel, Maureen and Families. Edna was an amazingly strong lady. Glad she was 'with it' right to the end and had Family beside her when she passed. Goodonya Aunt Edna!

Our thoughts are with you and your families in this time of sorrow.

Our dear mother and grandmother Edna McKegney passed away peacefully at the North Okanagan Hospice in Vernon on May 12, 2016 at age 95.  Our gratitude to the staff there for their kindness and care. She moved to Vernon in 2015 and enjoyed living at the Victorian Residence and briefly at Hearthstone Manor -  thanks to the staff at those residences. Thank you to Dr Catherine Brown and Dr Tanner Udenberg for their care of mom while she lived in Vernon.

There will be a celebration of life this fall at Greenwood Cemetary, Ridgetown ON where mom will be interred with dad and her parents. In lieu of flowers a donation in Edna's name to the North Okanagan Hospice Society would be appreciated, or to a charity of choice.
