Elma Joy Melvin

Elma leaves behind her husband Shawn, children Jordan (Carly) and Jessica (Jordan), and grandchildren June and Oaklan.

Elma was born March 26, 1967 in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland, and was the youngest of six children. At the age of 17 she moved across the world to Vancouver, Canada where she worked as a nanny and nurse. In 1992 she married her husband Shawn Melvin and they moved to Vernon, where they raised their family and she lived the rest of her days. Elma enjoyed music, good food, and her many animals, but above all loved God.

Elma will be dearly missed by her family and friends she leaves behind.

A Funeral Service will be held for Elma on Thursday, June 20th at 11:00 at Hassen Memorial Arena in Armstrong, B.C. The service is open to all who wish to attend to honour Elma’s memory. For anyone that wishes to join the service remotely, please visit the link below to join the livestream.
