Florence passed away in Vernon on September 14, 2017 in her 99th year.
She is survived by 4 daughters: Valerie (Ray) Ling of Calgary, Judy (Ben) McKinnon,
Debbie (John) Winder of Coldstream, and Jeanne (Peter) Walsh of Okotoks,Alberta;
15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandlchild, 3 sisters: Rita (Bob) Fairhurst of Kelowna, Sophie (Pat) Mulholland, and Lola (Harold) Major of Lumby; numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Nellie was predeceased by her husband, James, in 1968 and her son, Rodney, in 2014; her siblings: Pat, Sister Irene, Bertha, Dan, Tony, Sister Mary Rita, Sister Nora, and Margaret.
Flowers have been gratefully declined. Those who wish to make a memorial contribution in memory of Florence may do so to the Upper Room Mission in Vernon.
Prayers will be recited on Wednesday, September 20th, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Roman Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Roman Catholic Church.
