I had the pleasure of meeting Frank and Jean when Lin and I visited him for a fortnight's holiday in May 2019.
We spent a week in Edgewood, followed by a week's road trip to Vancouver Island.
Those 2 weeks were pure joy, listening to Frank's stories, full of fun, wisdom and inspiration, along with Jean's hospitality and wonderful food.
Looking back, they were 2 of the happiest weeks of my life and I count myself so lucky to have met Frank and enjoyed his wonderful company, albeit for such a short time.

After many years searching for my Uncle Frank, I finally found him in 2001 living in B.C. And what an Uncle he turned out to be!
I flew from the UK to Vancouver the following year, and there they were, waiting for me at the airport. Frank and his beautiful partner Jean, immediately showering me warmth, affection and love and it's been like that ever since.
I was lucky enough to return to B.C. again in May 2019 with my partner David and a great time was had by all, especially in Edgewood. Great memories of Frank performing with his band
The Flashbacks on a beautiful sunny day, surrounded by friends and free flowing Appleton beer on tap!
My funny, fabulous, fearless Uncle Frank. I'm going to miss you so much. Lin XX

My memories of Frank go back to when I first met him, in the 60s, long before his fame He was a very intelligent guy with a dry sense of humour. Besides his fame in the brewery business, I will remember him for his photo-journalism, his beekeeping, his love of classical music, his love of nature and kindness to others. You left us far too soon, Frank. Test in peace, my dear old friend.
