In the late 70's Glo approached me after a golf game to say that altho my son was one of the brightest students she"d ever taught he would not graduate if he didn't bow to establishment and pass his english exam . Through her help, my pleading and his efforts he did pass (with 53%! ) Today he is a professor at Okanagan college ,a Deans list scholar from York University and a recipient of the 2020 University of Victoria Alumni Award for , you got it, English!

I'm sharing this because I am sure he is not the only student whose life was changed because of this remarkable and caring lady. May beautiful memories ,in time, help fill the void you are all feeling today

Sincerely, Bobbe

Dear Don and Phil,

I met Gloria in Grade two.
I met Don when I was 7 and Don was 9 . The years pass but the memories are always there to bring up at any time you need them.
Don, I am glad you have Grandchildren near to help you work through one more life gone . I have been in Campbell River for 8 years now and have watched my grandchildren grow up. What a joy in times of distress. My condolences Phil and family on the loss of your mother and grandmother.
Take care,
Arlene Kermode ,
