Hi there .. I was wondering if anyone here can tell me if this is the same ‘Jerry Beauregard ‘ who taught at Westgate Elementary school in Calgary, Alberta ? Probably around the years of 1987-1990? Thank you

I was very sad to learn of your dad's passing.  He always had time for a kind word and a smile.  He will be missed by many, as is your mom.  You had two incredible people for parents, Michelle.  You were the light of their lives.  Please know that I'm thinking of you at this sad time.

I was very sad to hear that Mr. Beauregard had passed away, and wanted to pass on my condelences to his family.  I saw him last year in Vernon while I was on holidays and we chatted, and he informed me he was enjoying retirement but still missed teaching.  He was my grade 6 teacher, and I remember that being my favorite time at Bearisto!  He was a factor in why I became a French Immersion teacher, and I will always remember the inspiring way he taught and the neat things we did as a class.  My sympathy to his family and friends.

I was so sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. I was lucky enough to have him for grade 4 and again for grade 6 at Beairsto in the '70's. He made sure every day was Too Much Fun! We did camping trips, ice fishing, film animation, Christmas shows and lots of French practice. I can't remember all those French verbs, but I will always remember his easy smile, warm personality, and enthusiasm for life. Jerry didn't just teach us; he inspired us to learn. He will be missed.

I was so saddened to read of Jerry's passing.  I was in his first class of French Immersion, Grade 6, at Alexis Park Elementary.  He was an incredible teacher.  But not only did he try to immerse a bunch of anglophone pre-teens in the French language, he genuinely tried to make school fun.  He was always doing something active with us - taking us for hikes on turtle mountain, or down to Cathedral Park.  Years later, I had the privilege to work briefly with his wife Cheryl here at Okanagan College, and it was hard to not still call him "Mr. Beau".  He always had this great smile and twinkle in his eye, and it was a honor to know him and have him be a part of my life.  He will really be missed.

It is with a sad heart that I offer my deepest sympathy to Jerry's family.  Jerry was a great man who meant a lot to me and to others and I mourn his passing.  I had the privilege of being one of his first students in French immersion in Vernon for both grades six and seven.  Jerry's quick smile and loving heart inspired me to learn and to live.  Jerry's example led me to become a French immersion teacher myself and he is the measuring stick I use when I consider my skills as a teacher.  Seventeen years ago he shared with me his secret for being the best teacher possible on the evening before my first day in the profession.  Jerry told me that my most important job is to make sure that every student genuinely smiles at least once every day.  To this day, this is my paramount goal.  I am so glad that I had the opportunity to share coffee numerous times over the years and to thank him for all that he has done for me.  I will miss his warm smile, his clap on my back, and his friendship.  Jerry was a great man.

Our deepest sympathies go out to you Michelle and Kerry.  Jerry was a wonderful, loving and caring person who will be greatly missed.  Our bike trips to Enderby and Armstrong will not be the same without him to share laughs, stories and jokes.

jerry made the best steaks...  and he had his whole family eat steaks cause we requested it...  it was a joy to see Martin and Michelle chewing on a 10 ounce steak....  they gave it their best shot...  THIS was the Jerry we got to know and love...  Will not miss him...  but will think of him often....

Jerry was a friend for almost 30 years, a special guy with a great laugh/smile.  He introduced us to Mexican travels and a love of Sugar lake and we shared many great trips in our RV's.   We will never forget the disgusting fish head soup he made in Guayabitos --even HE didn't eat it!!  But we'd love to taste another bite of his delicious home made pies!! I only met Jerry at the very end of his life as my own father was in hospice with him.  He took the time to ask about my father and talk with me several times.   He was extraordinarily full of life - I am grateful for our too short acquaintance and so sorry there was not time to know him better.  He was indubitably a man who embraced life and all those who crossed his path - I am happy to have met him.  Love and light to all who knew him...

Michelle, Kerry and family, please accept my deepest sympathies. Jerry was a gentleman, a great host and friend, he will be missed by many. I'm glad I got to visit with him in June....
