Lionel peacefully passed away on July 18th at 84 years in Kelowna General Hospital.
Lionel had fond memories logging and living for years in Vernon, with a move to Peace River Country 1959, Beaverdell 1981, then
returned to Vernon in 1994. He enjoyed western movies, country music, horses and cattle (Diamond K Ranch), and meals out with family.
He will be lovingly remembered by Jackie, his wife of 61 years; children: Peggy (Dave), Russel (Michelle), Bev, and Linda; grandchildren: Kathy (Duane), Clayton (Tamara), Michael, Cameron (Kim), Adrian, Kayla (Ken) and Amanda (Matt); great grandchildren: Brady, Ava, Van, Hallewyn, Luke, and Fayth; siblings: Barry (Elsie), Darryl (Kathy), Marilyn (Don), (Doreen).
Predeceased by: parents, Roy and Evelyn; brother, Don; and sons, Vern and Gordon.
The Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 29th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Vernon Alliance Church, 2601 – 43 Avenue with Pastor Jake Klassen officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pleasant Valley Funeral Home.
