Mary Kelly Shaughnessy, of Vernon, passed away March 31, 2026 at the age of 93. Kelly attended Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing in Edmonton before building a fulfilling nursing career spanning more than 30 years in Trail, Quesnel, and Vernon. She lived life on her own terms, with independence, courage, strength, and determination.
Kelly was predeceased by her daughter, Janet; son, Robert (Bob); and grandson, Adam. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Michael (Jill) and Colleen; her grandchildren Aaron, Tyler, Karlie, Christopher, and Sheldon; and her many great-grandchildren. Kelly will also be deeply missed by her daughter-in-law, Bobbi, as well as her long-time, special friend, Bob and his son, Peter.
A private interment took place on May 21, 2026, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery
