Mary Jane Walker

We regret to announce the death at Noric House on January 3, 2011, of Mary Jane Walker at the age of 100 years. She was born in Yorkshire, England on July 8, 1910. Mary Jane is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Denis; daughter Angela (Bob) Jacobs of Whitehorse; three grandchildren, Peter (Tracey) Jacobs, Paul (Jolene) Jacobs, and Crystal Jacobs; five great grandchildren; Jake, Jessie, Kyle, Hannah, and Cadence; two nieces and many friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, January 7 at 4:00 p.m. from the chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating. The family would like to thank the staff at Noric House for their exceptional care of Mary Jane. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary Jane may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 104 – 3402 – 27 Avenue, Vernon, BC V1T 1S1.
