

Anthony “Boar Hog” George Francis, age 68 of Versailles, Ohio started this life on October 28, 1952 and quit on June 15, 2021. Born in Greenville, Ohio, he was a son to the late Henry Norbert & Ida Marie (Partin) Francis. Boar Hog worked in construction most his life, and had built homes and barns as well as worked for Weaver’s in Versailles as a chicken farmer. He was a proud United States Marine Corp veteran, having served in the Vietnam war from 1971-1974. He was a true warrior in every sense of the word. He was loved by many and will be missed immensely. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Herbert Francis: son-in-law Elliot Hazlitt: granddaughter Chloe Smith.
Survived by his children Jason Francis; Jessica Francis: granddaughters Kiana and Kaley Smith: siblings Bill Francis; Jerry (Julie) Francis; Mark (Cheryl) Francis; Angela Claxton; Pamela Francis; Allen (Dianne) Francis; Donald (Amye) Francis: as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Friends may call on the family on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM at the Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio. A service will follow at 2:00 PM where all are encouraged to bring memories to share of Boar Hog. Burial at Holy Family Cemetery, Frenchtown, Ohio where Military Honors will be conducted by the Versailles Honor Guard.
