Barbara Brandewie

Barbara was born on March 11, 1961. To the late Floyd & Princess (Prichard) Echeman. Barbara was also preceded in death by her sister, Gretchen Delzeith.

Barbara is survived by her children, Isaac Brandewie and Rachel Brandewie; sisters & brothers-in-law, Angela (Dennis) Pittsenbarger and Gwen (Mike) Flory; brothers & sisters-in-law, John (Sharon) Echeman and Mark (Sherry) Echeman; and several nieces and nephews.

Barbara was a 1979 graduate of Versailles High School where she was one of the first female students to take woodshop. She received an Associate Degree in Business Management from Edison State Community College. Barbara was a hard worker. She had been employed at Copelands – Sidney and retired from Whirlpool – Greenville in 2022. She was crafty, a crossword whiz, and enjoyed gardening and partying with family and friends. She was loved by all around her, common loving terms she was called by include Barb, Barbie, and Nana Bob from the neighborhood kids.

Her sweet spirit will never be forgotten and will be held close to our hearts forever.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, August 15, 2025, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Tony Price officiating.
