

Eleanor Rose Grillot, age 95 of Webster, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Brethren’s Retirement Community, Greenville, Ohio. Born in Darke County, Ohio on July 31, 1926 she was a daughter to the late Felix & Agnes (Francis) Monnin. Eleanor attended St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles, Ohio. She was a Versailles Eagles Auxiliary Charter Member, and past president. She was well known in the Webster community for sitting in her chair on the back porch, one of her favorite things to do. She loved spending time with her family, and will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Chalmer Grillot: daughter Marilyn Grillot Dickmann: grandson Duane Dickmann in infancy: brothers Forrest, Henry, Leroy, and Joe Monnin: sisters Florence Gigandet, Bertha McEldowney; Cecilia Barhorst; Loretta Bey: grandson-in-law Tom Argabright.
Survived by her children Dennis & Diane Grillot; Carol & Larry Simmons; Rose & Michael Lawrence; Alvin & Donna Grillot: grandchildren Lisa Kenworthy; Theresa Argabright; Rhonda & Bryan Albers; Rodney Grillot; Michelle & Sam Holsapple; Larry E. Simmons; Kelli & Kevin Berger; Mike Henry; Steve & Tracy Henry; Alessio Aiola; Davide & Erica Aiola: 19 great- grandchildren: sister Mary Curtin: as well as several great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A special thank you from the family to the Brethren’s Retirement Community, friends from the American Legion & Eagles, as well as the friends and neighbors in Webster for all of the care and love they have showed Eleanor over the years.
Friends may call on the family on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 4:00- 7:00 PM at the Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio, with a Lodge of Sorrow service at 6:45 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at St. Denis Catholic Church, Versailles with Fr. Jim Simons presiding. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 AM-10:00 AM prior to mass. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
