Evelyn Curtis

Evelyn Lucille (Zacharias) Curtis, 92 of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Saturday August 6, 2022 at 4:11 PM at Village Green Health Campus, Greenville, Ohio. Evelyn was born August 9, 1929 in Darke County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel (Feitshans) Zacharias.

Evelyn was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Versailles, Ohio. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, square dancing and spending time with her family and friends.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Arthur W. Curtis on February 11, 2018 whom she married March 25, 1950, her son: Richard Curtis, her daughter and son in law: Linda (Curtis) and Ken Draving, daughter in law: Susan Curtis; her siblings and spouses: Harold and Marion Zacharias, Herbert and Lois Jean Zacharias; her brother in law: Carl Jay.

Evelyn is survived by her sons and daughter in law: Dan and Linda Curtis of Greenville, and Gary Curtis of Greenville, her daughter in law: Sue Curtis of Greenville; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; her sisters: Norma Jay of troy, Betty Zacharias of Versailles, and Reva Zacharias of Versailles; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Wednesday August 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 Am on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Versailles, Ohio.
