Larry Brown

Larry was born June 28, 1940, in Versailles to the late Harry and Dola (Bunger) Brown.

Larry served in the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from The Ohio State University. He worked for Hallmark Cards living in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Kansas City. Larry baked for the Submarine Houses in Dayton. Later he came back to Versailles and bought Brown’s Sweet Shop & Bakery where he retired from.

Larry was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Versailles, Gettysburg Masonic Lodge #477 F & AM, and Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton. He enjoyed traveling, reading, and playing the stock market.

Larry is survived by his sister, Arlene (Brown) Keiser of North Star; niece, Cynthia Keiser & Janet Kunkel of Santa Fe, New Mexico; nephew, Kurt & Niccole Keiser of North Star; his great niece, Brooke; great nephews, Eli, William, and Jesse Brown Keiser.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at 10:30 am Friday, July 18th, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church 204 East Wood St. Versailles with Pastor Bonnie Gerber officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Versailles.
