

Naomi was born December 15, 1935, in Red River to the late Theodore and Mary (Wagaman) Yount. In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by a grandson, John Keith Bemis; and brothers, Dale Yount and infant Bobby Yount.
Naomi is survived by her husband, Donald K. Bemis whom she married January 29, 1955; children, Tony Bemis of Versailles, Cheryl (Scot) Story of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and Diane (Gregory) Ray of North Canton; grandchildren, Allison (Maroun) Nammour, Theodore (Telisa) Bemis, Christine (Nathan) Vermillion, Mary Frances (Jonathan) Sigler, Ethan Story, Sean Story, Christopher (Rachel) Ray and Kathleen (David) Gewandter; great-grandchildren, Keith Sigler, Marie Sigler, Aria Nammour, Theodore Bemis Jr., Miles Gewandter and Mavis Ray; brother, Larry (Naomi) Yount of Gettysburg; sister, Lil Broughman of Bradford; and sister-in-law, Mary Alice Yount of Bradford.
Naomi was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of Webster United Methodist Church. Naomi enjoyed gardening, traveling, country music, baking and sewing. She loved spending time with her family.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor David Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Bradford. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice or Webster United Methodist Church.
