

Randy Joseph “Left Hook” Schulze, 66, of Kihei, Hawaii, passed away on June 13, 2025, at Promedica Toledo Hospital. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather/“Papa”. Born May 14, 1959, in Greenville, Ohio, Randy was the son of Eileen (Drees) Schulze and the late Mervin Schulze.
A 1977 graduate of Versailles High School, Randy worked for the Village of Versailles and the City of Fremont, retiring in 2010. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and playing cards, and was known for his friendly conversations with everyone. He was able to achieve his retirement dream of balancing time on Maui with immediate family and Turtle Creek Campground on Lake Erie with friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his father in 2009 and brother Tom Schulze in 2016. He is survived by his mother, Eileen; wife Kathy (Schellenbarg) Schulze; son Billy (Stephanie) Dirksen; daughter Teresa Schulze; grandchildren Myla, Clara, Willa; siblings Jerry (Judy) Schulze, Kay Francis, Jon (Shelly) Schulze; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Randy’s life will be held on June 19, 2025, at 5 PM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles, Ohio, with Pastor Todd Reish officiating. Friends may visit from 3 PM to 5 PM. Casual attire is preferred. For those who knew him, remember his words: “You know what I’m saying.” In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Miami Valley Hospital Burn Unit.
