

Richard was born in Celina, Ohio, on December 2, 1948, the son of the late Henry and Marie (Hoehne) Dircksen.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his son, Scott Dircksen his brother, Alfred Dircksen as well as sister in laws and brother in laws.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Connie (Waters) Dircksen whom he married on August 25, 1993; his son, Richard Dircksen; his step children, Daniel (Angie) Cockrell, Angie Morris and Anita ( Mooney) Johnson; his grandchildren, Cody Dircksen, Derek Dircksen, Alex (Madison) Dircksen and Kassidy Dircksen, as well as numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren; his siblings, Rita (Jerry) Sefring, Robert (Michelle) Dircksen, Ruth (Gary) Delzeith, Edward (Linda) Dircksen, Barbara (Larry) Dircksen, Cathy (Chris) Shoe; sister in law, Nancy Wheeler, numerous nieces, nephew, extended family members, friends and his four legged friend “Tippy”.
Richard was a 1967 graduate of Versailles High School. After high school he served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He was a member of the VFW and was a truck driver by trade. He had love for John Deere tractors. Richard will be remembered for his generosity, his even temper and easy-going personality and will certainly be missed by all who loved him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, 10:30 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church 14 East Wood Street, Versailles, Ohio with Rev. Fr, Ned Brown Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, December 15, 2025, and from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio.
