Mother Ruth had a way of making everyone feel special. She shined with love and positivity. To eat with her was to dine, to spend time with her was cherished and timeless.
She was inspirational and knew how to make the most of little things.
She will truly be missed, and I am blessed by happy memories of her.

I met Ruthie and her family (Michelle, Brian and Brittany) through Rajiv Eapen and feel very fortunate to have known her and to visit her on several occasions. We shared text messages through the years and she always sent me pictures of Fawna and Fiona, who were very dear to her. Ruthie gave me and my sister Terri one of her special dolls which we will always cherish. Ruthie was such a sweet lady...always smiling and telling nice stories, and just a joy to be around. I will miss her and I will keep the family in my thoughts during this difficult time. Vikki

I would like to pray for all the families going through the loss of who I would call 'Dearest Ruthie' . A little bit about myself for those who don't know of me. My name is Rajiv Eapen. It was a chance encounter in a million that my college buddy Vino (while attending Wright State) and myself met Ruthie and her close late friend Jeannine at a Host family event. Was funny how they both squabbled over both of us as to who was going to be each of our 'Hosts'. Rest was history and we became the best of friends for all these years!

Ruthie was so kind, warm, friendly, religious in her host family relationship with me. Not only did she invite us students at that time but over the years my family, my friends and well wishers all got to meet sweet Ruthie and her extended family. In spite of graduating and moving away to Michigan we always kept in touch and would always talk about when we were going to get together. I have pleasant memories of always meeting Ruthie for lunch when I came into town and then proceeding to Michele's to spend rest of the afternoon with Brian and Brit.

I will miss my 'American Mom" as I would call her as Ruthie and her family were my family too, as my family were all back in India. May God bless this lovely family, grant them the strength, courage and faith during this difficult phase. But I know my Ruthie is looking down on all of us and praying for us all and as she would always joke with me ' we are going to go boot scooting one day soon'
God Bless,
Rajiv Eapen
