Alfred "Al" Allan Bitterman

July 7, 1936April 28, 2021

Dad passed away suddenly but peacefully into the presence of the Lord in the afternoon of Wednesday, April 28th. Al was born to Theodore and Louise Bitterman in Melville, SK and was the youngest of 8 children. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings Carl, Clara, Elsie, Ernie, Henry, Marion and Pearl. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda, daughter Kathy and her husband Simon (Kellan and Brennan) as well as a large and wonderful extended family. He will also be missed by his furry friend Tim-bits, who was named in honor of one of his favorite spots, Tim Hortons. Al and Linda would have been celebrating their 56th anniversary on August 6th. He worked in the healthcare field for many years, the last 22 years at Queen Alexander Hospital for Children, a job he truly enjoyed. Al was strong in his Christian faith and proud of his Godly heritage. We will miss you Dad, but we wish you restful peace and joy in the presence of your loving Savior. The family would like to thank Dr. B. Nero for his wonderful care and compassion, his faithful and special friends Ghinbar and Fethi and our Church family at City Light Church. “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”

On behalf of BFM Victoria:
Our heartfelt condolences to Linda and Al’s daughter and family. We remember Al’s dedication to our store and its mission. He walked by faith, and shared his love of God readily. He volunteered his time and talents for many years, and all who knew him appreciated his efforts to serve.
