Angie was a treasured friend, and a quirky, kind, energetic, artistic, and generous soul.  Thank you Angie, for all you've brought to the world, and for your friendship, kindness and generosity for me personally. Your delight in the natural world and in your North Vancouver home and garden always delighted me too.  Your Stellar's Jay friends must be wondering  where you have gone.  You had a way of making everything an adventure!   And you were such an astonishing inventor too.  I am so grateful  you were born and you were on my path.  Travel well, my friend.  I am sorry for the loss of your beautiful spirit in our lives.  My your family's healing path be softened by sweet memories of time spent with you. I am so sadden to hear that a beloved friend has passed away.  I met Angela (she did not like being called Angie or worse yet, Ang, but was too polite to correct people) through a connection with the BCNU and in true Angela fashion she opened her heart and home, not only to me, but to my family as well.  My fondest memories of Angela were visiting her at her home in North Vancouver where Saturday morning cappuccinos at the Bean around the World coffee shop or at the Lonsdale Quay were much looked forward to events, followed by a walk on the sea wall.  She took absolute delight in watching the dogs; large and small cavorting around in the play area, but in truth, she took delight in so many things involving pets, wildlife or people.  She always kept a handy supply of peanuts to feed the many squirrel and blue jay visitors to her backyard on East Osborne and we shared many a good laugh as "Junior" the young blue jay was trained to first take peanuts out of the hand and then off of the top of my head.  She never tired of repeating the story of "Junior" the trained blue jay to others.  She had a kind, generous and loving nature and made a lasting impact on anyone whose life she touched.  She had a wonderful sense of humour and of irony as well.  She found it ironic that every time I made a trip from up north to visit her there was some significant event already in progress, but to me it meant that I could give back some of the support she had given me over the years.  A true Pisces, she always longed to be near water, initially planning a pool at her home in North Vancouver, then having a pool at her home in Saanich and finally her ocean front property which I wish she would have had a lot more time to enjoy, I know she would have made the most of it, as she did with so many things, always giving 100% and living life to the fullest.  I count myself blessed to have had her as my friend and no matter how much time and distance was between us, she was one of those friends where you could just pick up right where you left off and I will miss her greatly.  To Tim, Sasha, Katie, Mark and Natalie I am truly sorry for your loss, she will be deeply missed by all of those whose lives she touched.

Angie was blessed with a great sense of humour and a laugh that we will not forget. She was a treasured family friend and her presence will be greatly missed.

Angie  will be sorely missed by all her family in Canada. She followed her sister Monica into nursing and came to Canada many years ago.Angie was a very generous individual,always coming to rescue family members in times of trouble.She was indeed an Angel.

Angie was a special woman.  I worked with her at BCNU but what I will remember most is the shopping weekends to the States with "the girls".  She was so excited to find unique gifts for her family and she couldn't believe the deals!  It was so much fun watching her and spending time with her.  She will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Angie will long be remembered for her strong advocacy for the nurses she represented and her many contributions to the effectiveness of the BCNU. May she rest in peace.

The Kerr family always considered Angie as one of our family.  Having been a neighbor and family friend of Angie's in Reading, 60 years later our friendship endured.  I am so grateful to Angie for so much, her loyalty, kindness and help over the years. I will so miss you my friend. Rest in Peace

I had the pleasure of knowing Angie through our work together in BCNU. Her wealth of knowledge never ceased to amaze me. The gleem in her eye before a meeting was something. Then to sit back and watch her go. I would get so caught up in her diatribe I'd forget I was part of it. Condolensces to her family and friends. Angie will be missed.

Angie was a mentor and taught me so much about advocacy and standing up for what you believe in.  I will miss your warm smile Angie.  Rest in peace.

Thank you Angie, for all you have done for me, and for all you have done for the nursing union. You will be missed.

Angie was a good friend and mentor to me from the time I first met her at regional meetings in Victoria and after I was hired as an LRO at BCNU in 1987.     I will miss her.

Such sad news. She was my first mentor when I became a steward for the BC nurses union. My thoughts are with her family and friends who will miss her very much. Thank you Angie for making a difference in my life.
