Barb passed at 102, at home in Victoria, BC. Born in Edmonton, she entered Royal Alexandra School of Nursing in 1942 and received her RN in 1945. She married Jack Scott Hutchison in 1946, upon his return from North Atlantic Naval Duties. Together they raised Purebred Herefords in the Fort Saskatchewan Area until retiring in 1985, to Duncan, BC. There they raised Miniature Horses and showed them extensively. Barb was an active Life Member of the Royal Alexandra Alumni, member of Canadian Club, Miniature Horse Club, etc. In 2005, they downsized again to the Broadmead area in Saanich. After Jack’s passing in 2011, Barb kept busy with her clubs and hiking groups. Barb was a special Aunt to her extended family, and had many lifelong friends. Predeceased by Sister Joan Thomas and Brother Guy Packford. Barb is survived by the McInnes, Packford, Thomas, Hutchison, and Oliver Families.
