Bruce was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on April 13, 1954. He had wonderful memories of growing up in southern Saskatchewan.
Bruce attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, Alberta and worked for many years within Western Canada as a refrigeration mechanic specializing in industrial refrigeration. He was skilled and well respected in the trade.
Bruce enjoyed many interests. He loved to feel the wind on his face riding his motorcycle or in the saddle of a quarter horse. While living in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, he was very involved with the equestrian community and one of his greatest joys was spending time with his equine companions; especially Sam and Major Sailor.
In recent years, Bruce lived in Victoria, BC. He appreciated the beauty of the sky and sea during his walks in the charming community of James Bay with his precious sheltie, Alfie.
He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, playful nature, whimsical smile, and his caring and kind heart. Bruce was always there to impart guidance and wisdom; lending a helping hand and a listening ear.
Bruce is survived by his loving family: wife, Barbara; son and daughter-in-law, Jarrod and Mary Ann Cranch, grandsons Jayve and Jace Cranch of Regina, Saskatchewan; daughters, Jana Cranch and Julene Cranch of Vancouver, British Columbia.
Bruce is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Shaunna Cranch of Canal Flats, British Columbia; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Sheila and Murray Hextall of Peebles, Saskatchewan, Jenelle and Chuck Downie of Cranbrook, British Columbia as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Bruce was predeceased by his mother, Anne Cranch and his father, Keith Cranch.
Peace and Love to our dear Brucie.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
