Bryan Alfred Hiebert (b. November 23, 1943) passed away peacefully on Friday March 30, 2018 at the Victoria Hospice. Bryan earned a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Alberta. He had a long career as a university professor at Simon Fraser University and the University of Calgary, where he retired as a Professor Emeritus in 2009. He was nationally and internationally recognized for his contributions to the field of vocational guidance and counseling. Bryan was an avid runner, musician and hiker. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Roll), his sons, Ted and Matt, their partners, and four "most fabulous" grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Liver Foundation would be gratefully accepted.
