You were a very positive, bubbly, and happy person which created wonderful environment to work in. You will be missed greatly. Rest in peace.

Never failed to put a smile on my face and always made uvic residence seem like home. Was such a kind and caring man my condolences to the family. 

I first held you when you were this tiny little boy, one of my first nephews, and  your smile was already lighting up our lives with such joy ❤️ And when I started working at UVic, my heart was SO filled with pride - watching you prepare everyone's food as though they were your personal guests, and always with that wonderful smile. I am so heartbroken to have to say goodbye, I know you are with the grandparents and ancestors now. Our lives will never be the same, but we can all find some comfort in the beautiful memories you  reated with each of us. Rest now, dear nephew ❤️

Troy working with you was the highlight of my day. Singing, joking, laughing, sharing stories about our kids always made the days brighter. When I left Uvic to go to Country Grocer I wasn’t sure if I would ever run into you again. But low and behold I hear this voice and I knew…HEY! Big smiles, big hugs…there’s my buddy. You did your shopping in Esquimalt and the girls thought it was funny how we greeted each other, loud and proud! Such a genuine, lovable gentle giant…Although I haven’t seen you in awhile, I thought of you often with a smile…. And I always will.

Cameron always lit up the kitchen at UVIC with his big personality and kind heart. He was always so friendly to me, which was such a comfort starting out as a first year undergrad in a new city. I will definitely miss his presence around campus and will be sure to remember the impact his friendliness and humour made on me for the rest of my life. 

The world was a happier place because of you Troy !  Your giant smile and great laugh were one of the best parts of my day at UVIC especially on Saturdays which were a tough day for me.  You were so loved by all the students and treated them as friends, making  them feel special by remembering their names and even what they usually ordered.  Your enthusiasm on event days was unmatchable !  I will always feel grateful for your friendship.  Rest easy big guy !

The kitchens of Uvic will never be the same without your beautiful smile, contagious laughter and huge heart! You were one in a million. Love ya Troy rest easy. 

My man!!! I’m extremely happy you were in my life! I loved ya from day one ! Absolute legend and a beauty! We had some times my friend! All we did was laugh! Loved that you finally made it out to my house! Me you Dana and kk ! Was an amazing day! So sad we won’t be able to do it again! But I’ll never forget the times we had!! Rib fest baby!!!! Love ya sweetpants! Rest well and easy my brother!! Forever love!! 

Buddy, I’m going to miss you but I know that wherever you are it’s become a brighter, happier place with your arrival. Now they can get some people served. 

aaawww...Troy.....I know you are in a better place, but you certainly have left a void in our lives.  

Your Hugs:  made me feel protected and safe within your strong embrace.

Your Smile:  reached to the very core of my soul and warmed my heart  and washed away all negativity I felt at that moment.

Your Calls: your voice so cheerful and stories so funny.  The calls were appreciated and will be sorely missed.

Della, I am so proud of the courage, the strength, the love and the devotion in raising a very strong, very respectful and a very loving young man.  Words will not wipe away the tears, and hugs will not ease the pain, but hold on to the memories because forever they will remain and no one can take away.

A limb has been weakend from our family tree.    However, you have left us strong branches (your beautiful daughters) so the family tree will continue to flourish.

We will miss you, but as I look up to the stars, I know you now shine bright as you did on earth. 

You live on in your children; therefore, forever you will remain  and forever you will be remembered.

Awwww Troy-Boy,  gone too soon, waaaay too soon. I'll always remember your huge big smile, your laugh and your bigger-than-life presence.  And, of course, your love of family.  I always have to laugh when I think of the time you were Santa at Mayfair Mall, and Della and I took your girls to see you.  The results were hilarious.  Safe journey home.


I remember playing at Grans and sitting on Uncle Jake's motorcycle pretending we were racing. 
So, many memories.
