Carolyn passed peacefully in the early hours of Dec 9th from hip surgery complications and a 3 year struggle with dementia.
She leaves her children Lori (Lawrie) and Sean, grandchildren, Brandon, Stephanie and Nels, brother David Hill, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Born in Victoria to a pioneer Mt Tolmie family, Carolyn taught High school in Vancouver and at Victoria High school until 1963 and returned to Victoria schools as an EA in the early 1980’s after raising family, retiring from Mt Doug in 2004. Carolyn loved organizing her school reunions with fellow 1957 Mt Doug school grads and was secretary of the Victoria Highland Games Association for many years in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
Thank you to all staff at Beacon Hill Villa for the kind care mum received. No service, but in lieu of flowers please consider a donation to an animal charity of your choice.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.firstmemorialsaanich.com for the Anderson family.
