After the completion of his education Robin chose to join the RAF. He was stationed in post-war Germany ( Westfalia ) where he met his future wife Kaethe to whom he was married for almost 67 years. They followed his parents who, together with his brother Anthony and sister Noelle, had immigrated to Canada and had settled in Montreal. Robin and Kaethe lived for 30 years in the small , picturesque south-shore community of St. Bruno where they raised their children Christina ( Pierre ) and Peter (Anca ).
Robin enjoyed a successful career in the aviation industry(Pratt and Whitney ) which included world-wide travels. He was respected for his integrity and technical knowledge. Upon their early retirement, Robin and Kaethe chose to live on Vancouver Island in the Cordova Bay neighbourhood where they enjoyed over 32 years of magnificent ocean views, splendid sunrises and good neighbours.
Robin was a passionate golfer and bridge player , built a wooden kayak and hiked in the splendid West Coast forests. He loved life and deeply appreciated the many blessings that had come his way.
Robin was a good father and husband and was generous, kind and optimistic to the end.
A true gentleman.
