Ann was a travel professional throughout most of her work life, from 1970 to 2011. In 1982 she joined Marlin Travel and managed a corporate travel office in Edmonton for several years. She was held in high esteem by her employers, staff and peers; affectionately dubbed “The Empress of Edmonton” for her class, sharp wit and drive to succeed.
Ann formed many close and lasting friendships throughout her life. She was an integral member of the “YaYa’s”, a group of past and present Marlin colleagues who meet annually to eat, drink, laugh and reminisce.
In 1995, Ann and John Jeffrey married in Edmonton. Shortly after that they moved to Vancouver Island; for John, to retire. For Ann, to leave the cold cold winters behind. Their first winter in Sidney was, unfortunately, a record breaking year for snowfall. The weather improved.
Ann was devoted to keeping in touch with all of her many friends, from school, distant relations and work. She will be greatly missed by all.
