Danny moved to Canada from the Royal Navy in 1955 to join the RCN, where he spent the next 30 years, mainly in Shearwater as a Naval Aviator (Avenger, Tracker, Sea King). He was proud to be part of the introduction of both the Tracker and Sea King to the Navy.
His proudest achievements though were the 7 children he had with Caroline: Geraldine (Mike Foley), Chris (Mary), Mary (Matt Lambert), Andrew (Myrtle), Tim (Arlene) Fergus, and Jennifer (Daryl Atkinson).
He also welcomed Stephen & Michele (Keith Chown) as his own children when he married Patricia, who predeceased him in 2014. Danny also had 15 grandchildren (each his favorite!) and 6 great grandchildren.
Danny was an extraordinarily entertaining storyteller, enhanced by his Irish upbringing and love of company, a gifted artist, woodworker and gardener. He was also a lover of Classical Music, Netflix, and Maynards Wine Gums.
Danny will be missed by, Caroline, all of his children and their families and his many friends across Canada and the UK.
