Daphne was predeceased by her parents, Edwin and Philippa Salt, her husband Clifford and the father of her children, Captain Peter Reakes. She is survived by her sons, Alan and Mark (Linda), granddaughters Lindsay and Bonnie, and her great granddaughter, Marley. Daphne was born in 1924 in Twickenham, England. She moved with her husband, Peter in 1947 to Canada. The family moved to Victoria in 1962.
Daphne's main enjoyments were gardening, bowling, knitting and travelling. Her travels including several trips to China and Thailand as well as various trips in Canada and the United Staes. She also enjoyed regular trips to Qualicum Beach.
We thank the staff of the Selkirk Senior Village, especially in the Eaton floor for their care and compassion.
A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.
