Dave will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his sons Brian Cropp (Shanna) of Surrey, BC, Bob Cropp of Brockville, Ontario, and his grandchildren Emma, Evan, Ava and Jelcia and Ezi Baker. Dave loved his wife of almost 50 years and never fully recovered from the loss of our mother Kathy on October 5, 2018. Each day since Kathy’s passing Dave talked about her with such heartfelt loss, the only solace we have now is knowing that he is happily reunited with her. Dave has lovingly been described as a character and he certainly was one of a kind but it was his heart that truly stood out above all else. He loved his family with all his heart and he loved children most importantly his children and his grandchildren, next to Kathy they were the light in his life. Dave’s second love was hot rods and it was a hobby that he and Kathy enjoyed together. We imagine they are taking a long drive together enjoying each other’s company and engaging in one of their comical conversations. Our family would like to thank Dave’s friends and neighbors for how they cared for him since Kathy’s passing. With COVID we were not able to tend to his daily needs in person and we are truly grateful for the love and support they provided him.
At Dave’s request there will be no service, however, we hope to have a small get together with some of his closest family and friends sometime in the near future. In the meantime, please take a scenic drive in memory of Dave, roll your windows down, breathe in the fresh air and as the sun shines down on you please remember him. In lieu of gifts, cards or flowers Dave requested that you donate to a children’s charity of your choice.
