It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Ralph Michell. A kind, hardworking, and endlessly curious man, Dave was a lifelong farmer who took immense pride in his work and passed that love on to his family. He was a car enthusiast—especially Corvettes. He enjoyed bowling, golf, and had a deep appreciation for history, archaeology, and astronomy. Dave loved Star Trek, old TV shows, and sharing his interests with his grandsons, who enjoyed playing with his treasured dinosaur collection.
Predeceased by his parents, Mabel and Ralph, and sister Bev, Dave leaves behind his devoted wife Susan; daughters Tara (Mike), Stacey (Marko) and Melissa; grandsons Tony, Kevin, Nik, and Sean, all who brought him endless joy.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Harper, Dr. Manklow, Dr. Attwell-Pope, the staff at Saanich Peninsula Hospital, and friends and family who offered their care and support, especially these last few months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
