It's Jan 29/25 - And I just saw a hummingbird outside my work window. I've been thinking of Dawn - this was a time of year she loved, as we all worked together on the BC Budget. I am missing her and it was wonderful to see the hummingbird and think of my work friend again. Thanks Dawn.

I was able to work with Dawn 23 years. We were prairie gals together. I miss her honesty and warmth. I mostly want to thank Rusten for sharing Dawn with us, particularly at the end of her journey. It’s tough to share those we love the most, as he did. More than anything, I remember that wonderful, born from the soul, laugh.

I miss you Dawn.

I worked with Dawn for the better part of two decades, not directly for all. But always, always, always, Dawn made me feel like we had a special connection. Dawn was so very good at her job and so devoted to every detail. She was not one to let anyone off easy if they didn't follow the rules -- and she knew all those rules so well!! Yet somehow, she was also this joyful, smiling, laughing, caring person who you couldn't help but love. Dawn, your laugh and voice will stay with me. I miss you and wish you eternal joy and peace.

She was the best friend I could have possibly had in my life - she taught me how to cook - how to calm down (when I could) and omg the fun times we had over the 37 years we hung out and did adventures after adventure - eventually we grew up - her first me following.
