Dorothy passed away peacefully at Luther Court. She was predeceased by, Roy, her husband of 69 years in 2011. She leaves behind her son Glenn and his children (all living in the Isle of Man): Paul (wife Sonia and children Olivia and Alexander), Christine, Nina (partner Mark), and Marina; and daughter Linda Turnbull and her children: Carol (daughter Sakshi) Victoria, BC and Michael (wife Aimee, daughters Rylie and Tristyn) Halifax, NS.
Dorothy was born in Middlesex, England. She moved to Canada as a War Bride and lived with Roy in Manitoba, Ontario, Alberta, and BC as well as being posted to Germany. Dorothy was a secretary for many years and an avid volunteer throughout her life.
The family wishes to convey thanks to the staff at Luther Court, where Dorothy spent her last years, for their dedication and support.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Luther Court, 1525 Cedar Hill Cross Rd, on Friday, June 27 at 1pm.
