For all friends of Edna, there will be a Celebration of her Life at Meadowbrook on Saltspring Island this Saturday, May 5th at 2pm.

My heart goes out to the family of Edna. When I heard the news, I broke down and cried. I will miss her bright twinkling eyes, her wit and charming personality.i will never forget her.

Please know you are all in my thoughts at this difficult time.  My most heartfelt condolences.

Edna loved coming to her Yoga Classes on Salt Spring Island...we all loved her so much! Edna's joy of life and the wonderment of each moment was shared with all of us in the group and we are momentarily frozen in the suddenness of her passing. As I remember her sweetness, and always her kind words before and after her classes; the positive approach to some of the physical challenges she experienced and the sheer pleasure of being in her company, the freezing changes to a deep sense of peace. She would want her class to know that love she embodied, and to continue to share ourselves with each other, the ups and the downs, yet always in love. Condolences to her family at this time from her friends at the Wednesday Seniors Yoga Class.

Recalling all the wonderful times Amanda, David and I spent with your mom and granny.  She had such a amazingly gentle way of touching the lives of those around her.  She always made us feel like she was our granny too.  Thank you for sharing. Our lives are blessed for having known her.  Our prayers are with you all.

Fraser & Jane, I'm sorry for your loss. I recall your Mom very well when we were across the fence neighbours on Runnymede & Falkland. She was a lovely lady. My sympathy to you both and your families.

I did not know your Mum, but heard about the tragic way she passed.  My heart felt heavy that afternoon.  It really shows how a community cares when something like this happens.  My prayers are with the family left behind to wonder.  She sounds like an amazing lady :0)

I am sorry for your loss. Edna was a great friend of mine while I lived on Salt Spring.

I always looked forward to chatting with Edna in the  seniors' yoga class that met every Wednesday with Celeste Mallett on Salt Spring. She was wonderful in every way. I believe that the tragic circumstances of her untimely death will serve as a watershed moment on Salt Spring. May she rest in peace.
