Eileen Mary Crawford

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Eileen Mary Crawford, who passed away on December 10, 2024 at Victoria General Hospital with her loving daughter by her side. Eileen was a kind and gentle soul who cared deeply for animals and people. She was born in Scotland where she married her husband, John Darroch Crawford, also deceased. During their over 40 years together they moved from Scotland to England, Malta and then finally settled in Canada. Together they had four children, David (who died at only six weeks), Ken, Rob (Dawn) and Annemarie, and later a grandson Darroch. Eileen was a loving Mother, wife, friend, and grandmother. She was a skilled artist and pianist. Eileen had a deep curiosity about the purpose of life and spirituality. She was raised in the Roman Catholic Church but also later studied a number of faith traditions and meditation practices. Always curious about what came next, she looked forward to finding the answers to life's greatest mysteries. Rest in Peace Mom. May you find all the answers to your questions and be surrounded by the love of loved ones gone before, including your beloved pets.

We would also like to sincerely thank the staff and medical personnel at Parry Place and the Victoria General Hospital Neurology Department for their exceptional and compassionate care of our Mother.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for January 3, 2025 at 2pm at First Memorial at 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC. Donations can be made to the BCSPCA in lieu of flowers.
