Born 19th January 1938 in Glasgow, Eleanor passed away on Thursday May 25, 2023, at the age of 85. She is survived by her sons, Stuart (Dawna) and Keith, and grandchildren, Derek, Sydney (Jesse), Janae and great grandson Hayes, all living in Edmonton.
Eleanor grew up in Glasgow, married Barry in 1961, moved to Toronto in 1966, then Calgary in 1968, Edmonton in 1974, eventually to Sidney, BC. In 1997, upon Barry’s retirement. Life on the island was very enjoyable, playing golf, gardening and sailing with Barry, on the Merry Dancer. Unfortunately health has caused the curtailment of these activities too early. She enjoyed travelling to many countries with Barry, and was a cruising enthusiast.
The family wishes to thank Doctor Green and the staff at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital for their care during her final days.
A remembrance service will be held at First Memorial on June 8th 2023.
