Eleanor Campbell Obrien

19 July 2017 at Victoria General Hospital, aged 96 years. She graduated from nursing from Collingwood General and Marine Hospital in 1943. She retired after 46 years of nursing, she worked as a General Duty Nurse at Christie Street Veterans Hospital, Toronto, an Industrial Nurse for General Motors, Flint, Michigan, and the Store Nurse for the Husdon's Bay Corporation, Victoria, BC.

She was predeceased by husbands Jack J. O'Keefe (Peterborough, ON) and Thomas J. O'Brien (Flint, MI), brother Gordon Currie (Victoria, BC) and step-son Matthew D. O'Brien (Indianapolis, IN).

She is survived by daughters Margaret (Tom) Jones, and Mary Ann (Chris) Higgins, 7 grand children, Jenni Porter, Krisi Clark, Kelli Horner, Shannon Duplissie, Kevin Jones, Sean Higgins, Thomas Higgins, 11 great-grand children and 1 great-great-grand child.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, 27 July 2017 at First Memorial Funeral Service, 1155 Fort Street, Victoria, BC.

Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers in Eleanor's name.
