Erich was born on March 17, 1942, in Szafranów, Poland, and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was a true entrepreneur who wasn’t afraid to take risks—whether it was running HVAC businesses, working in the hospitality industry, becoming a licensed real estate agent, or opening his own retail stores. He also proudly earned his sheet metal trade ticket.
Beyond work, Erich loved investing, gardening, walking the dogs, and always had a home improvement project on the go. He lived with honesty, loyalty, and a fierce devotion to his family. His greatest priority in life was ensuring they were cared for and supported.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Scheuer; his sons Darren, Greg, and Tyson; his brother Ed; and his grandchildren Kyle, Julia, Jade, and Benjamin. He was predeceased by his parents, Phillip and Amelia; his brothers Phillip and Josef; and his sisters Mary and Else.
Erich was our rock—kind, dependable, always willing to lend a hand, and someone you could always count on. He was our hero and our safe place. We will miss him deeply and remember him always...
